INTRODUCTION

1 Defendant Allan Kelley appeals from a conviction by a jury of attempted rape, a first degree felony.

He raises two issues on appeal: first, whether the trial court abused its discretion in qualifying the prosecution's expert witness and allowing him to state conclusions founded upon alleged impermissible bases, and second, in the alternative, whether defense
