Mr. Lindstrom’s unsuccessful efforts to avoid being extradited to Norway have precipitated a number of difficult questions. In 1997 a Norwegian court convicted him of fraud and sentenced him to prison. Before the sentence could be executed (indeed before the trial ended), he fled to the United States.
