¶ 1. Linda Salveson was employed by Douglas County from 1981 until 1995. In 1996, she filed suit under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e to e-17 (1994) (Title VII),

alleging that she had been subjected to illegal sexual harassment and gender discrimination virtually the entire time of her service with the County.
