¶ 1. Jerry Lewis Evans was tried and convicted of four counts of possession of a firearm by a prior convicted felon in the Circuit Court of Scott County, Honorable Marcus D. Gordon presiding. Evans was adjudicated a habitual offender and sentenced to four concurrent life sentences in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections without the possibility of parole.
