Appellant Stacey A. Flynn brought an action against respondents American Home Products Corporation (AHPC), et al., manufacturers of a brand-name drug, alleging that misrepresentations AHPC made to the federal Food and Drug Administration caused her to ingest a generic version of the drug, and that the generic drug injured her.
