I. INTRODUCTION

After Lillie M. Rahm-Riddell passed away in September 1997, her brother, Irvin H. Edwards, and her husband, Robert J. Rid-dell, filed competing requests to probate wills that Lillie had executed in 1992 and 1997. The 1992 will left most of Lillie's estate to Edwards; the 1997 will left almost everything to Riddell.
