The plaintiff, Pullman Industries, Inc., filed a defamation action against defendant Manufacturers Enameling Corporation, based on federal diversity. Pullman Industries claimed that Manufacturers Enameling falsely accused it of wrongdoing in a cease-and-desist letter that Manufacturers Enameling sent to Miller Products, Inc.
