HUG, Circuit Judge:

In 1993, Appellant Pantelis Antonakeas was arrested in California, where he lived at the time, and was brought to Hawaii to stand trial in U.S. district court for one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. A jury convicted him of all three counts, and he was released on bail pending sentencing.
