Jess J. Karch, Sr., appeals the judgment of the Sarpy County District Court, which affirmed the county court’s refusal to dismiss two misdemeanor counts upon the claim that Karch was not brought to trial within 6 months, as required by Nebraska’s speedy trial act, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 29-1205 et seq. (Reissue 1995).
