The remaining partners of a five-member Massachusetts law firm, Fern, Anderson, Donahue, Jones & Sabatt, P.A. (Fern), seek indemnification or contribution from a New York law firm, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy (Milbank). Fern had previously settled a claim against it made by Mil-bank’s New York client, Kansallis Finance, Ltd.
