¶ 1. John Kornegay was convicted by a Hinds County Circuit Court jury of the crime of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Kornegay has appealed that conviction, urging that it be reversed on two grounds. First, he alleges that he was improperly denied a continuance based on his belated receipt of discoverable information from the prosecution.
