HOLLAND, Justice:

This is an appeal from final judgments that were entered in the Superior Court. The plaintiffs-appellants, Charisma Red-ding and Nephaterie Redding, filed suit against the defendant-appellee, Vladimir Ortega, Jr., for personal injuries sustained as a result of a motor vehicle collision. The Reddings moved for a default judgment after Ortega failed to answer or otherwise plead.
