OPINION

PER CURIAM.

This consolidated mandamus proceeding involves a pretrial docket control ruling by the Presiding Judge of the first Multidis-trict Litigation (MDL) Court in Texas, to which all asbestos cases filed in Texas after September 1, 2003, have been transferred.

As of May 7, 2004, more than 1,500 asbestos cases had been transferred to the MDL Court.
