Preface

On December 6, 2002, the court granted Exxon Mobil Corporation’s (D — 1) and Exxon Shipping Company’s (D-2), hereinafter referred to as “Exxon”, renewed motion for reduction or remittitur and reduced a jury verdict awarding plaintiffs $5 billion in punitive damages to $4 billion.
