The plaintiff, Diane Williams [“Williams”], filed this civil action on 18 December 2002 against the Alabama Department of Corrections (“DOE”)(Doc. # 1, Compl.). Williams has asserted state and federal allegations in violation of 42 U.S.C.2000 et. seq. and has requested a jury trial pursuant to 42 U.S.C.1981a (Doc. # 1).
