Anthony Hardy (“Anthony”) contracted Hepatitis A from eating tainted food at a Jack-in-the-Box. He sued Jack-in-the-Box for personal injuries (“Lawsuit”). His health deteriorated, and on the day he died, he signed a statutory durable power of attorney.
