Serlester Stanley appeals the denial of his motion for new trial and his convictions for malice murder and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony in connection with the fatal stabbing of Therlin Gates. He challenges the sufficiency of the evidence with regard to the possession charge and the effectiveness of his trial counsel.
