I. INTRODUCTION

The Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission (CFEC) issues entry permits and interim-use permits for commercial fishing purposes.

The CFEC designates distressed and certain other fisheries for limited entry and caps the number of entry permits it issues for these fisheries.
