LWe granted this writ application to determine if the lower courts properly interpreted the laws governing disability benefits for firefighters in determining that the plaintiff in this case, Sherron Bowers (“Bowers”), was only entitled to non-job related disability benefits under La. R.S. ll:2258(B)(l)(d).
