Dear Mr. Faircloth: You have requested of this Office an Opinion regarding whether the recall petition and supporting documents directed toward Bobby D. Higginbotham, Mayor Town of Waterproof, Parish of Tensas, meets the statutory requirements for a recall petition as set forth in R.S.18:1300.1 et seq. First, R.S. 18:1300.2(B) states: B. All signatures on recall petitions shall be handwritten.
