Plaintiffs filed a joint complaint against their former employer, defendant Dominick’s Finer Foods, LLC, and its parent company, Safeway, Inc. (collectively Dominick’s or defendants), alleging their discharge was in retaliation for filing claims pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act (Act) (820 ILCS 305/1 et seq. (West 2006)).
