PROCEDURAL HISTORY

¶ 1. Carl Edward Rayford was found guilty of murder by a jury in the Harrison County Circuit Court. Rayford was sentenced to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The trial court subsequently denied Rayford’s motion for a new trial.
