Defendant appeals from his convictions of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury (“AWDWISI”) and of attaining habitual felon status. Defendant primarily contends on appeal that the trial court committed plain error in admitting evidence that defendant had previously been in jail and that he associated with “drug boys.
