¶ 1. On August 25, 2008, George May pleaded guilty to statutory rape. The Marion County Circuit Court sentenced May to a term of thirty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. On January 27, 2012, May filed a motion requesting copies of the transcripts from his plea and sentencing hearings.
