| ^Defendant, Christopher Johnson, was charged by amended grand jury- indictment with second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1.1,2 He pled not guilty. A new sanity commission was appointed, and the trial. court ultimately found defendant competent to stand trial. Following a jury trial, defendant was found guilty as charged.
