{1 In September 2012, seventeen-year-old P.G. was arrested based on his five-year-old sister's allegations that he had sexually abused her.2 At the police station, a *300detective took P.G. to a small room to be interviewed. The detective read P.G. his Miranda rights at the beginning of the interview, and P.G. stated that he understood his rights.
