Defendant was convicted of failure to report as a sex offender, former ORS 181.599(1) (d) (2011), renumbered as ORS 181.812(l)(d) (2013), and assigns error on appeal to the trial court’s denial of his motion for a judgment of acquittal on the crime.1 He contends that the trial court misconstrued former ORS 181.
