j 2Pefendant, Leslie Reed, was convicted of second degree murder in violation of La. R.S. 14.30.1. After denial of his motion for post-judgment verdict of acquittal and his motion for new trial,1 defendant was sentenced to life in prison at hard labor without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
