Roughly one year after its 2007 leveraged buyout (“LBO”), Lyondell Chemical *639Company (“Lyondell”) filed a petition for chapter 11 relief. In this appeal from decisions of the bankruptcy court, Lyondell’s unsecured creditors, through their trustee Edward S.
