Defendant Devon Brantley, then 18 years old, and a 16-year-old co-actor, "M.N.," attempted to rob a Subway Restaurant in Milwaukee. Defendant pointed a firearm at an employee, who quickly fled into the restaurant's freezer. Unable to open the register, defendant grabbed some juice from the cooler, and the two youths fled the store.
