This is an appeal from a Superior Court judgment vacating an arbitrator's award reinstating a Winthrop police officer, Ferruccio Romeo, who was terminated for submitting a request to be paid for a special detail that he allegedly did not perform. The detail consisted of an eight-hour shift monitoring traffic at a pump station in the town of Winthrop (town).
